@JimmyBroadbent What if @iRacing did like COD does: don’t ban the person, but make special “bad actor” splits and when the join races, the only get to race with other bad actors
@BrutalReplies @PicturesFoIder Per all the official rules I can find, this is legal:
- https://t.co/wi070CIfrP
- https://t.co/4i3BuFqfK0
There is no mention of the method of removal, or maintaining a grip on the block before placing it: only “take” or “carefully remove,” and “only one hand.”
Fully legal
@AlexBrundle Unbelievable that @AbbieEaton44 doesn’t have a drive.
Someone should pick her up for @Rolex24Hours and let her convince you that you’d be silly not to give her a full time drive
@GamersNexus The real problem is when real humans start referencing the AI work in their publications, and the facts then are even more obscured.
All that stuff we learned about Primary Sources in high school is about to become even more important
It occurs to me that @Apple would be incredibly smart to release a communication device that did not allow social media. Not a device with software lockouts via screentime, a device that actually did not allow social media apps at all. A reduced app set, somehow hard-coded into the device. There is a huge market demand for this specific product.
We simply lack the self-discipline to not install these apps. Silicon Valley has figured out our weaknesses and how to make us addicted, and companies have figured out how to use our dopamine as a pathway to taking over our personal time. By blocking this, Apple would be seen as a benevolent actor in a sea of malicious tech companies.
Call it something catchy like:
The “Emancipation From Applications”.
As parent with teenagers, I have explored this space carefully, alongside all of dozens of thoughtful parents I respect, from all walks of life. I am familiar with all of the dumb phones, and know friends with many of the hardware solutions used to make social media inconvenient.
Increasingly, I know adults who want this product for themselves. It’s no longer just about kids.
The more I think about it the more I realize this would be a genius play on many levels.
I usually don’t say this, but please retweet this if you feel the same way. I want to know if it’s just me.
