The 1991 Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC) concluded on August 11 at Oran Park Raceway. For Dick Johnson, the finale—and the 1991 season as a whole—was a difficult period that signaled the decline of the Ford Sierra RS500's dominance against the surging Nissan Skyline GT-R "Godzilla." 

Early in the race, Johnson was involved in a collision with Win Percy’s Holden Racing Team (HRT) Commodore VN, which compromised his race as you can see in this clip with the whole rear wing, boot and other parts well and truly crushed.

Dick Johnson finished 11th in the final round. The race was won by Mark Skaife, capping a season where Nissan secured seven of the nine round victories.
