Living with psychosis can feel like fighting a battle no one else can see. Some days reality feels fragile, but every day I keep going is a victory. Behind every diagnosis is a person doing their best to survive. #Psychosis#MentalHealthAwareness
Today was the day I was invited to Windsor Castle to receive my MBE from His Majesty King Charles III, what an amazing honour, I still can't believe it but now I can sit and look at it and feel such a sense of achievement Thank you @mariecurieuk you are all absolutely fabulousโฅ๏ธ
Globally there are are approx. reportedly 720,000 deaths by suicide per year
Based on that, yesterday over 2,000 lives were lost unnecessarily
This has to be reduced but needs your help.
Just by you spreading awareness or talking to people, will help.
Please share this
It looks like it's going to be another lovely weekend.
A time to relax, soak up the sun and ask someone how they are.
I bet most of you will only do two of these.
Talk to someone and help #EndTheStigma
First of all, I just want to thank you all
my friends for the lovely messages of
love and support yesterday after I had a
rough day. It really meant a lot, and Iโm
feeling much better today because of it.
Depression isnโt always obvious.
Sometimes it looks like:
โข Oversleeping but never feeling rested
โข Letting messages pile up because replying feels impossible
โข Staring at the wall for hours, lost in thought
โข Wearing the same clothes for days
โข Laughing with friends but feeling completely numb inside
โข Functioning just enough to not raise concern
Today marks exactly one year since I tried to end my lifeโฆ
Since then, life hasnโt been easy, but I can honestly say things got better. Feeling so grateful to still be here ๐
Can I ask a favour. The 11th to the 17th of May is MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK. Can I please ask that you save this image and post it as a new post on your social media. We need to help spread awareness. Thank you.
