Such a privilege & indeed an honour to be given this award, especially next to @KevinBrennanMP@CarlaMarieUK & Rupert Hine RIP. Such a meaningful, emotional & fun ceremony w/ so many friends . My artfelt thx 2 @IvorsAcademy & @ElenaSegal@DaveRowntree for ur kind words & support.
@DavidSillitoBBC a great piece on #NorthernSoul - & even the courage to cite #TheGoldenTorch - often omitted by less thorough/considered Journo’s scared to quote a [monikered] “Midlands” City into the narrative of “Northern”. You got history & culture bang on! #wigancasino
@JayneTaylorSONS@StuartMaconie Even though Stoke played a pivotal role in the Northern Soul story to media/middle-class types, Stoke's status as a Midlands town (though often debated) means it confuses the narrative to quote it as part of anything "Northern" @MadeinStokeonT#NorthernSoul#TheGoldenTorch
Some boring but necessary cable tidying this morning to locate everything I need for the upcoming tour dates after the recent studio move. Spent an hour looking for my beloved capos…

I had a great chat with @art_school_gf about her excellent new album 'Soft Landing', her songwriting journey, dance music, #Brokenrecord issues and how it's hard to make it work as an artist, #Wrexham@FocusWales and more @FictionRecords@CHUFFMEDIA

Having been up here today, I’m sad that the OS map just gives it a mangled English name - Brown Willy - not its original name. Which is either Bronn Wennili (“hill of swallows") or Bronn Ewhella (“highest hill”). Place names are an important link to the past.
@reetacbbc always appreciate the eloquent delivery of the news from you - and, is it me , but as the sun finally shines, thought you were looking lovely & summery tonight too!
What a beautiful star letter in this month’s @ProgMagazineUK 🙏🏻❤️
Could we ask for a better endorsement of the experience of coming to see a live Anchoress show?
Thank you Eliot and can’t wait to see you all again this autumn x

I’m out filming the eleventh series of #DiggingForBritain from @RareTelevision for @BBCTwo. We’d like to include more stories from commercial archaeology. We’d love to hear about any potential sites being dug by units in August or September. Please contact @ware_eleanor
