@JReadingAloud87@prodnose This is it exactly. Fans at the games are treated with contempt. I have not met a single fan who attends games who is in favour of VAR. The ‘Offside is offside’ crew tend to be on armchairs.
@GylesB1 I was telling my 16 year old son that I remembered you presenting a kids’ show in the late 70s where you used to stand on your head at the end. No evidence online anywhere! Please tell me I didn’t imagine it! 😀
@3003nicnak@AVFCOfficial I’m a Wolves fan and not watching this game however I agree…everyone treats it like it’s a scientific thing when actually, someone decides when the ball is played and a split second out can change one outcome for another. Needs to be obviously offside for me on a ‘normal’ replay
@paulnew29783815@mrsflanagan28 Ah ok…I support Wolves and am taking comfort in leaving it behind. I’ve never met anyone who goes to matches who prefers it. Sucks the life out of games.
@mrsflanagan28@paulnew29783815 I’ve also found that those who say ‘offside is offside though’ tend to be at home in armchairs and not sitting / standing waiting 5 mins to know if they are allowed to cheer. It’s ruined the game as a spectacle.
@paulnew29783815@mrsflanagan28 Saying someone is 2mm offside would be fine if the method used was 100% accurate, but it’s someone freezing the frame when the ball was kicked. Two people operating could get a different result. And if it’s semi-automated then why isn’t it instant?
@MrRyanLeister What I expect to happen: keep ST prices high, crowds shrink, club offers special deals for individual games to get people back in, which annoys those who have bought season tickets. If we halved the price, the ground would be full, more people buying stuff etc etc. Very simple.
