🚪👟Grassroots action in Alabama! 🇺🇸
Day after day, week after week, our incredible team and our activists have hit thousands of doors and have had real conversations with voters in support of AFP-AL endorsed candidates:

But it’s *not* costing them that. The ETF has been spending more year over year for well over the last decade. There has been so much extra revenue that they have continued to do supplemental appropriations. It didn’t cost those three districts $20M. Respectfully, that’s just wrong. I know it’s your job to advocate for them, and I respect that. Blaming the CHOOSE Act because they wanted to borrow $300M (which is dubious on its own) is just deflection.
This is a flat-out lie. There is no $100M loss and no $250M at stake. These scare tactics are coming from people who are uncomfortable with one thing: parents having the power in education instead of the government bureaucracts. #alpolitics

“If you can do one thing for us, tell the people that are going to do the legislative work to let up and let our teachers teach,” Madison City Schools superintendent Ed Nichols said.
🚨Legislative Update: BIG day in Montgomery! 🏛️
SB197 (food truck freedom 🚚🍔) & HB136 (emergency powers reform 📜) both passed out of committee! ✅
Thank you @SenDanRoberts & Speaker Pro Tem Chris Pringle for moving these reforms one step closer to the governor’s desk. 💪🇺🇸#ALPolitics
On Tuesday, @GovernorKayIvey and the Amendment 666 Bond Commission approved the future issuance of bonds and pledged $40 million in state funding to support Jackson Hospital’s recovery from its self-inflicted bankruptcy.

SB 197 has passed the Senate!
Thank you to @SenDanRoberts for sponsoring this important legislation that provides much-needed relief to Alabama’s food truck owners.
Great having members of @YRFAL and @CRFAlabama stop by the AFP-AL office for lunch today during their Legislative Day at the Capitol! 🏛️🇺🇸 Strong conversations, bold ideas, and the next generation of leaders ready to make an impact. 💬🔥
Thanks to Speaker Pro Tem Chris Pringle for sponsoring this bill. Emergency rules should be the exception, not the norm. This commonsense reform will promote responsible governing by ensuring that emergency authority is exercised with appropriate checks and balances. https://t.co/IffLnk7Cbp
Senate Bill 167 has passed the Senate! Thank you to the members of the Alabama State Senate who voted YES on this bill, and a special thank you to @SenatorAOrr for sponsoring this legislation.
We’re one step closer to ensuring the law is applied equally, and that unelected bureaucrats are no longer calling the shots in Alabama.
🚚🍔 Let food trucks roll—not get stuck in red tape. Duplicative health & fire inspections slow these small businesses down & raise costs. Good news: SB197 by @SenDanRoberts passed ✅ Senate Committee to streamline inspections & get vendors back on the road. 🇺🇸 #ALPolitics
🚨 Barrier of the Week: Regulatory Burdens
They drive up costs 💸, limit opportunity 🚫, and place too much decision‑making power in the hands of unelected bureaucrats 🏛️.
It’s time to cut the red tape and open the door to growth and innovation. 🔧📈
