@FootballCliches I remember a player talking about Phil Dowd (can't remember the player, but was someone on co-comms) and saying "if he was having a bad game you'd let him know, and he would always do the same to you"
Came to mind seeing that exchange!
The club, Mikel Arteta and everyone else involved should be ashamed that they employed Thomas Partey and continued playing him, whilst everyone knew it was him.
Then to try and get him to stay with a new contract? Absolutely awful from everyone
@_shug@CF3Loyal Murty started him in central midfield against Celtic in his last game as caretaker. And Gerrard played him as a number 8 for 30 minutes against Madrid or Arsenal in pre season (can't remember which). That's it across 9 years though haha
@davidmcvicar42@KaiGWatson Would rather get a striker on the way up than ones that's failed at the top and is coming down. Better resale value and chance that way
@RogueCreate @ytahen @yourpalsatyr@yeo_sage@TheSashaExpress Here's a good video on it. https://t.co/blM2Oua4uu if you don't have the time, essentially when he deployed the defence of "these are just jokes". People found his second channel in which he does his "serious films reviews" and his criticisms would be the exact same as his sins
@Jon_Mackenzie@RohanJivanAFC Lost his explosiveness with his injury. However, no doubt that the handbrake had gone on a little bit by the time he was fully fit. Still good then but the high risk control over teams had become more high risk and less control.
@Jack_Ruddy_1@johnwalker_1986 Kelly far happier to receive the ball and look to play through. Butland consistently will go long or (more often) clear the ball first time when there is anything approaching a press from the other team.
@johnwalker_1986 Wonder if there's something in it being a Portuguese signing him. Opposition players tend to stand out playing against your team/country
@DavidCampbell_5 Loved this one. Felt like a 70s espionage classic in the modern day. No big action scenes needed to keep the audience engaged. Relied on it's dialogue and tension building.
