Everton boss David Moyes:
“We have to respect completely the Africa Cup of Nations. The players will go to play in the tournament for their countries and rightly so.”
The AFCON is more than just a tournament… it’s pride, identity, passion and legacy.
When Africa calls, you answer.
The continent’s biggest stage is almost here, and the world will be watching once again.

DISCOURSES ON YOUTH INCLUSION-EXCLUSION IN PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY RESPONSE.
One of the effective approaches for ensuring the effectiveness of rapid response to PHEs in #Africa and elsewhere is fostering active #youth participation.
Yesterday, September 28th, we partnered with the Dar es Salaam Regional Government, NGOs and veterinary companies to conduct a comprehensive rabies prevention and animal welfare campaign by using a One Health approach.
Our activities included:
1. Rabies vaccination for dogs and cats
2. Deworming of dogs and cats
3. Surgical sterilization (spaying & neutering) for dogs and cats.
4. Public education on rabies awareness and prevention
A total of 204 dogs and cats received these services in all centers.
Beyond service delivery, we also engaged stakeholders on the establishment of a Rabies Center of Excellence in Tanzania an initiative that was warmly received and holds great promise for the future of rabies control in Tanzania.
A huge thank you to all our partners, volunteers, and the community for making this exercise impactful. Together, we are moving closer to a rabies-free Dar es Salaam and Tanzania stronger animal health systems.
