@TriviumMethod@patersonjeff Partially correct. Journalists should avoid opinions, but not all media are journalists or represent themselves as such. Plenty of room in sports media for opinion if it’s represented as such. However, re Matheson, terrible opinion from an Oilers’ journalist lol
@TriviumMethod@patersonjeff Nope, it’s ok to have opinions on things. People may disagree on where draw the line on what’s reasonable or not but that’s ok
@TriviumMethod@patersonjeff If they have a good game, media asks what went right. If they have a bad game they ask what went wrong. This is not a new thing lol, just that the bad games have been piling up
@TriviumMethod@patersonjeff Lol the media’s not running him out of town. The fans are going to the games and watching him on TV and can clearly see his poor play without any need of media editorialization. The whole city’s group chats right now are way harder on EP40 than the media has ever been.
@SwBowles @racheldoerrie Exactly. Power dynamic between coach and captain or superstar player is much different than with young players. Very obvious @racheldoerrie
