Celebrating my 1st first-author publication 🇵🇷✨This one is special, it carries a piece of my Puerto Rican identity.
Big thanks to the research team 💪🏼
There’s still so much to learn, but I’m committed to growing and doing the best I can with every step forward.

What is a simulation?
In our VI unit, we use them to identify environmental barriers, not to ‘play blind.’
One student teacher realized that the noise of the gym, something they usually ignore became the biggest hurdle to their participation.

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies & Physical Education at @Brockport teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in physical education! 😀👩🏫
Back in March I burst my appendix and needed something to keep my mind busy, so I could not be happier to finally get a copy of my book in hand! Very appreciative of everyone who helped edit, gave feedback, inspired me to put this together #AdaptedPE

🌈 Why do we celebrate Pride Month?
Because LGBTQ+ students, athletes, educators, and disabled folks, especially those from multilingual and multicultural communities, deserve to be seen, heard, and valued.
Pride is about visibility, justice, and joy.
In PE and beyond, everyone deserves to belong. 💪🏽🏳️🌈

If all students were like plants…
Why do we expect them to grow the same way, when some are rooted in rich soil and others are just trying to break through concrete? 🌱🪨
Before judging a student’s “effort” or “outcome,” have we asked about their conditions?
Their access to sunlight? To water? To care?
Privilege doesn’t mean you didn’t work hard, it means the soil wasn’t working against you.
Let’s cultivate with compassion, not comparison.
And if a plant isn’t blooming, maybe the kindest thing we can do… is to let it go. 💚☀️🌈🌻🪴
🌈 Happy Pride Month from NAKHE!
We proudly stand with our LGBTQ+ members, students, and communities. We celebrate the diversity that strengthens kinesiology, higher education, and our shared mission to foster inclusive, equitable spaces in teaching, research, and leadership.

Saw this Basketball Hoop adaptation for the first time today.
As many of us know first hand: even the lowest setting on an adjustable hoop is often too high for our youngest scholars.
It’s so simple, lightweight, and the PE teacher said it was very affordable.
This Teacher Appreciation Week, I’m celebrating my own special teacher persona! Find out yours here with this five-question quiz from @teacher2teacher. https://t.co/VSJqr0ftGd
