Your goal work around using visuals reminds us of the work shared by a former MAPEC board member @RockCreekFCPSPE
Accessible goals, in language and task, are essential for impactful #AdaptedPE and #physed
Clear learning targets can improve engagement, assessment, and grading — especially when students actually understand what they’re working toward.
Not just objectives on a wall.
Accessible. Visual. Measurable. Motivating.
Same goal. Different entry points.
This can be such an unlock, especially in #physed and #adaptedpe.
Have some students who receive extended time, then let all students take all the time they need.
Have one student who receives "read directions aloud" then read the directions aloud to all.
🌀 If we go to all of the trouble to create an accommodation for a student who has an IEP, let's just give that to everyone. It's not harder and supports learning for anyone who needs it. #LeadInclusion#UDL#InclusiveEd#EdLeaders#TeacherTwitter
#MayisforMovement continues all next week.
Be sure to share (tag us, message us, email us) photos and videos of your #AdaptedPE students being active outside the gymnasium.

I’ve spent a lifetime around bowling, and a lot of these modifications are built from real experience in gyms, schools, and adapted settings. Sometimes a simple setup tweak completely changes access, confidence, and success for a student.
