Omar, a young supporter from Kondele, Kisumu, has been unlawfully arrested, reportedly tortured, and is currently being held at Kondele Police Station because of his political stand with the Linda Mwananchi movement.

Omar is one of the vibrant young people who welcomed us to Kisumu and helped spread a message of peace and tolerance during our last rally.

His continued detention raises serious concerns about his safety. We have seen too many cases where rights are violated in custody, we cannot stay silent.

Our principals are aware and working on his release.

We are calling on the police to ensure his safety, uphold the law, and either charge him in court or release him immediately.

Let’s amplify this to protect his life.
