Hello, if you have a spare five minutes on this bank holiday, please can you fill in this follow up survey for my campaign.
Thank you

A telling reminder of littering's impact on wildlife. This little male sand lizard was very lucky we came across it whilst surveying. The other wasn't so lucky. As well as posing a fire risk, discarded bottles can be a death trap for small animals, so take your rubbish home folks
Pheasants have a massive impact on reptiles and will fatally injure adders and leave them to die... as they are released on adder sites, it’s another major factor believed to be driving their declines 😞
@jazzy_jeff44 @RSPBMinsmere @RSPBintheEast Please respect these sensitive #reptiles as they emerge🐍watch from a respectful distance to avoid disturbing them as they need to bask to help facilitate reproduction👍females only breed every 2-3 years so need their space🙂 @reptileproject@AdderAid
CRITICAL PRESS RELEASE! We now have published the results of a national study which shows us Adders are in danger of extinction. Please read and share so we can get the word out https://t.co/NtrgtsxBjy @ARGroupsUK @BioSolEcology@BBCWales@BBCRadioWales
I created this questionnaire for a university project. To try and get an understanding of peoples perceptions and knowledge on British snakes. If you have a spare momtn, please have a look and fill it out.

This bit of footage is a couple of years old now, but it is still an amazing clip of an adder trying to get its lunch.
Adders usually feed on small mammals, lizards, nesting birds and frogs. They can use both ambush and active hunting techniques to find and kill their prey.
The British Herpetological Society has finally joined Twitter! Thank you to everyone for all the follows already. Our friend and keen herpetologist Steve Allain will be managing the account, with occasional help from me, Chris Gleed-Owen (BHS Chairman).
Do join in and create an adder stone! Paint any stone with a nice adder design using acrylic paint, spray with clear varnish (optional), write @AddersAmazing and/or the FB link in marker on the back and place on an adder spot near you! 😀🐍
Lots of lovely adder photos coming in recently. Remember if you spot an adder you can help create more up to date information on adder population sizes and distribution. Just clink on the links and follow the instructions...

As the fabulous #Adder emerges from hibernation please do not harass or cause them stress by seeking that 'perfect' photograph😟 Today's were taken from well back & the enjoyment is watching them without disturbing them👍respect #reptiles#fieldcraft#herptiles
Retweeting this article as I would like to know if the project has been successful. Can anybody in the Denbighshire area, or anyone in the know cast some light on this? Also if it has been successful, could it be done in other areas of the UK?
@DenbighshireCC@BristolCouncil
This is a very interesting idea, adders suffer from persecution and habitat destruction if this can work, it could mitigate human wildlife conflict and make good use of road side verges.
