The @IGADSecretariat and @AddisILO team continued their engagements with key stakeholders in @SouthSudanGov on the ratification and domestication of the IGAD #FreeMovement regime.
Among the day's key meetings was an engagement with Hon. Wek Mamer Kuol, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, who expressed support for advancing the ratification process through the Council of Ministers, the Legislative Assembly, and the Office of the President.

π/ Experts from @IGADSecretariat and @AddisILO are in Juba, South Sudan πΈπΈ, engaging with key stakeholders on the ratification and domestication of the IGAD Protocol on Free Movement of Persons by the @SouthSudanGov.
At the inception meeting, the #IGAD delegation, led by Action Coordinator @LucyDaxbacher, together with #ILO Chief Technical Officer, Ephrem Getnet, met members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Legislation and Justice and the Council of Statesβ Legal Affairs Committee to advance dialogue on the Protocolβs adoption and implementation.

ILO, through PROSPECTS and @ITCILO, has opened a regional training in Addis Ababa to strengthen Public Employment Services in the East and Horn of Africa.
Today in Addis Ababa, @ILO under @IloProspects concluded a TVT workshop for trainers & curriculum experts.
The training strengthened core skills integration in curriculum design, delivery & assessment, helping prepare job-ready graduates for Ethiopiaβs changing world of work.
Migration stories shape public understanding and influence decisions.
Through the @ilo#BRMM programme supported regional media forum in #Mombasa, π°πͺ, journalists from Eastern Africa are strengthening their skills in reporting on labour migration and countering misinformation.

In Djibouti, the @Addisilo team has concluded a three-day Implementation Support Mission alongside the IGAD team under the #EUβ#IGADβ#ILO action, βTowards Free Movement of Persons and Transhumance (FMPT II) in the IGAD Region.β
The ILO delegation was led by Ephrem Getnet, Chief Technical Advisor, while @LucyDaxbacher, Programme Coordinator for FMPT II, represented the Director of Health and Social Development.
The mission provided an opportunity to take stock of progress achieved so far, address implementation priorities, and agree on a roadmap for the next six months to advance the actionβs objectives across the IGAD region.
