A statue opposition political figure and well known businessman, Bulcha Demksa passed away.

Obbo Bulcha who served as State Minister of Finance under Emperor Haile Selassie, represented Ethiopia at the World Bank, and later worked with the United Nations. After returning to Ethiopia in 1991, he established the Awash International Bank in 1994 & Oromo Federalist Democratic Movement (OFDM), one of Ethiopia's significant opposition political parties in 2005. Obbo Bulcha has been vocal in his opposition to the government of the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and has been recognized by international media for his political stance. He has authored a book titled "My Life; My Vision for the Oromo and Other Peoples of Ethiopia," which discusses his life experiences, and his vision for Ethiopia's political landscape.

The humble man has passed away at the age of 94. May his soul rest in eternal peace!
