Books use a lot of paper which means a lot of logging occurs. Although many trees are cut down for paper, libraries help reduce the amount of paper used due to reuseable books. @franklinlorax#apesland
my family has vegetable beds in our backyard to grow our own veggies in summer. To help our plants grow we use use special fertilizer so they can get all the nutrients they need! @franklinlorax#apesland
When my parents moved to franklin, the area was very rural and there was a lot of vegetation. As land consumption increased, the number of trees began to decrease and now trees are limited @franklinlorax#apesland
I’d say that sandstone and fractured volcanic rocks tend to have high permeability due to their interconnected pore spaces and porous nature, which allow fluids to move through them easily. It’s more water resistant (less area for the water to stick to). #apesland@franklinlorax
The bigger the rocks the more porosity it has. So when you plant a vegetable that needs more water one should mix in pebbles to make the soil more porous so the water can easily reach the roots. #apesland#franklinlorax
By growing my radishes, I was able to gain a better understanding of how certain plants need different types of soil. Using the soil classification chart we were able to figure out that radishes need a light sandy loam; however, all plants are different. #apesland@franklinlorax
this is my zebra haworthia plant named shredder. she is over three years old and she's absolutely thriving! shredder prefers a ph of 6.1-7.6 (slightly acidic). she grows best in soil with high porosity & permeability for quality draining.

These are succulents and they have been successfully growing! Cactuses need a pH level of 5.5 to 6.5. By testing the soil and water, I can regulate pH levels and take steps to adjust them as necessary. #apesland
The city of Milwaukee is an industrial area because it is filled with businesses. However, the city of Franklin is a residential area because it is home to many houses and neighborhoods. #apesland#apeslorax
The city of Milwaukee is an industrial area since it’s filled with many businesses and office building! However, our city of Franklin is made up of many homes and neighborhoods, making it a residential area! @franklinlorax#apesland
I looked up the brand of these strawberries to see if they grew their foods using GMOs. Turns out they are USDA certified organic berries, which means there won’t be risk of bad health conditions from GMO foods! #apespop@franklinlorax
This is Logan! He is one of the 8 billion people on the earth! Since he is 14 his mother makes him ride his bike everywhere so he produces less carbon emissions #apespop@franklinlorax
Chris is one of the 8 billion people on this planet. He drives a big truck which eats up a lot of gas. This isn’t very good for the environment and he is leaving a big ecological footprint on the planet. #apespop@franklinlorax
Cate and I carpool every day to minimize the emission of harmful pollutants. Ultimately less carbon-dioxide is produced as we are using less cars which decreases the amount of heat-trapping gasses that cause global warming. #Apespop@franklinlorax
Dina and I carpool daily to minimize our impact on the earth and car pollution. Also, we use less fuel this way which helps the environment stay clean and is more energy efficient. #apespop@franklinlorax
Nate and I carpool when we snowboard to minimize our impact on the earth and car pollution. Also, we use less fuel by going together this which helps the environment stay clean by lowering the emissions in our air ways.
