@ADHDFoundation @NHSScotlandRBLX Incredible! However, screening by using questionnaires can be very misleading as well, at least in children. A few questionnaires are validated for this purpose and for those that are, some services use very high threshold to accept children and privilege teacher reports

@AdhdSurrey @YouTube Jo you and Katie have done an amazing job for Surrey ADHD and you should be proud of your achievement! It is tough time for everyone but I am sure you will still contribute a great deal to ADHD cause in the future! Take care and thank you
@AdhdSurrey @ADHDFoundation @JennyMcL2@ADHDwiseUK@tonylloyd50@cfoley50 @EmmaWeaver1606 @SurreyCouncil Well done Jo, you and Katie did a great job and you will resurface stronger after we get through this. Let’s hope our families will somehow manage during this difficult time and can support each other
Fantastic meeting with ADHD Foundation and ADHD Surrey today - Tony Lloyd said neurodiversity is as important as biodiversity! Inspiring words! Good to see our MP Kwasi Kwarteng here - hope that the government will take ADHD seriously !
On my way to @AdhdSurrey for 3 days. Looking forward to working with them & @ADHDFoundation to make a difference in #Surrey and surroundings. #TeamADHD
Neurodiversity - recognising that if 1 in 5 human beings have either ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or Dyscalculia - means we can not be ‘errors of genetics’. We are not ‘disordered’ we are different. We are human. We are intelligent. “We Belong”☂️

@EmmaWeaver1606 @ADHDFoundation Great talk on attachment and neurodevelopmental disorders Emma stressing that ADHD can look like attachment difficulties but it is not caused by it unless it is extreme such as Romanian orphans - the point made by Anita Thapar as well

Thank you to the parent volunteers of ADHD Surrey for participating in the National Parents & Carers SEND Conference today in liverpool in partnership with @WitherslackGrp @AdhdSurrey @AddmireClinic@DrBozhena
Just been to a great talk at ADHD Foundation conference - Working towards balanced view of ADHD by Tom and Laura - clearly the name ADHD has to change otherwise stigma will not go - I suggest Concentration Activity Neurodiversity - CAN !
@maxdavie I think you are absolutely right Max but medication is very effective as you know and even the most optimal environment will sometimes lead to unexpected outcomes such as low self esteem- you don’t know how well you can do until you do it but it should be left to individuals
@AADDUK @ADHDFoundation @BPSOfficial You are right to raise this issue and to question how BPS can associate themselves with the blame culture in this framework which belongs to outdated theory not based on evidence
@maxdavie Max, this is absolutely wonderful story! You are not alone as in my large team working with wonderful children who have ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions we used to joke that there was only one person who did not have ADHD! Once ‘diagnosed ‘ everything makes sense

@laurafranallen @poppyellislogan@SindhaAgha Absolutely amazing description of ADHD and a very powerful message using this kind of media - it would appeal to many young people who come to see me in my clinic - thank you Laura !
