Ife is the first Nigerian woman I have seen who sat down and defended Lindsay Clancy for killing her children.
Lindsay had more support than any woman could have, she had;
* a nanny
* her husband created a separate account and founded it with $100,000 in case she needed anything,
* her husband collected maternity leave just so he could stay with her.
* she had 5 doctors at her disposal.
* she had her husband’s family and her family as well.
* her husband started working from home so he could assist her with the children.
All these and yet Ife sat down and blame the husband for not paying enough attention to his wife.
What else could the husband do to prevent her from killing her own children?
Noticed how she immediately made this about men not caring enough?
Lindsay Clancy sent her husband out on a specific errand so she could be alone with the kids. That is PLANNING.
She searched how long the trip would take, picked a restaurant farther away, and added a pharmacy stop. Then she took the three children to the basement and strangled them one by one with exercise bands.
If the roles were reversed, Ife, would you make a video telling women to research why a father ki.lled his children?
You’re a hypocrite. And your husband should be scared of raising children with you.
I have been privileged to work across over 20 countries including the United States and UK as a Gen Z. In many rooms I have been in, I was the youngest person.
So I can tell you, the greatest skill you need in your corner is not your certificate, but the ability to work across cultures and systems.
The fact that the 76-year old CEO in my workplace 3 streets away from the White House asked me to call him by his first name Damon doesn’t mean I should come back to Nigeria and call Dr. Oby Ezekwesili by her first name.
It’s lack of social intelligence. When you are in Rome, you behave like a Roman. Adapt quickly or be left behind.
My last take on this.
I think women generally underestimate how much we respect women we truly love. No man who holds you in high esteem will do this lol.
Unpopular opinion: if your partner upends their whole life for you when you suddenly became blind, the only acceptable answer to whether you'd have done the same for them is YES.
Doesn't matter if it's a lie. As a decent human being, the least you owe them is that merciful lie
You see those friends in diaspora, most of them are very appreciative.
Even if it's just 20k, send it into his Naija account and watch how happy he'll be.
Most of them haven't received a dime from their loved ones since they stepped out of the country.
You will be tempted to show that you are doing well, but it is important you resist the urge to perform for an audience that don’t matter - and maybe isn’t even watching
If you are not married to a partner who has a penchant for content creation and obsession with social media, walahai you don't know what God has for you
I let go of my trainer since I’m always traveling now and made this visual helper because I’m always flustered about what to do at the gym. I left the set and reps blank, so I can easily update it as I challenge myself more
If you have a baby or newborn, start reading to them everyday or when you can even if they don’t understand it yet, it will help them pick interest in books.
i'm convinced when you REKINDLE a relationship with someone (friend, family, ex, etc ) something will ALWAYS resurface to show you why you should have left it burned and dried up.
