@colkawusi They try to divide us along our individual identities, but we share more than divides us. The people of Afghanistan share the same condition, no matter who they are, everyone is struggling. To deny that is to deny reality and be myopic & choose myopic solutions that solve little.

@colkawusi That's why I never amplify Afghans who are devoted to single issues and refuse to zoom out and see the bigger picture. There are no single issues, especially in Afghanistan's case. In Afghanistan, EVERYONE is struggling who is not sitting in Arg and does not rule Afghanistan.

@bob_esfanji1 Iranian cinema is also extremely racist towards Afghans, I have little patience for it.

It mostly just affirms the status quo, which I find dull.

I only occasionally watch it to analyze the fascist psyche, just like I do with Western cinema, but it's mostly a waste of time.

Being bold is not enough, one has to be consistent.

She was just an entertainer, not more, not less.

@muerteserena_ This is most true for Americans who are obsessed with Hollywood and the entertainment industry. Fictional characters are more real for them than victims of empire.

I've been thinking this for the last 2+ years, from observing citizens of imperial core & their sheer indifference.
