2 days in a row running training in July & soaked to skin!!! Sadly not just from rain but also car drivers who don’t seem to understand need to slow down & avoid puddles. One wave today covered me right up to back of my head. Marathon training underway for 14 & 17 weeks time 😱
Training continues whilst away for work given impending marathon 5 & 6 this year and even more chance to explore where I’m staying. Excited to add another post box topper to the collection I keep spotting!
Love coming over here to work in Macclesfield with this fantastic view from the offices. The benefits of working here is I get to work in some really beautiful locations, very different from some of my previous authorities

Staying away part of the week for my current work contract and have been staying in a few different places to learn more about the area. On a walk to stretch my legs after work look what I found! How amazing !
Back out training properly in the rain today! Anyone would think it’s 20 weeks today to @ChiMarathon for me for @streetchilduk and then 23 weeks to @nycmarathon for @winstonswish sorry everyone…will be boring you about the running again!!
Watching the coverage by @BBCSport of all the inspirational runners this morning in Manchester @Great_Run is brilliant. I love that you are highlighting the important part running can play in so many different lives, from elite through to those running for a reason.
Our @SloughLibraries team donated book packs from @Booktrust to the Neonatal Unit at Wexham Park Hospital to support and encourage parents to read to their premature babies. Reading to babies aids parent/child bonding, helps to calm and reduce their heart rates &stabilise oxygen.
Tomorrow DOTS will have a stall at @EalngAnimalFair raising money as well as many other wonderful charities!
Lovely day out and dogs are allowed as long as banned/dog friendly and on lead.
Michelle will also be doing a talk mid morning about the charity
We hope to see you there 👋
@ConradHall13 I love this idea! The closest I get to this is whenever I travel into London by train I buy whatever the 1/2 price book of the week is at the station, even if it isn’t one I’d normally buy. Ended up reading some great stuff that way. Then gets gifted on to friends/charity shop
In my happy place of @Sadlers_Wells to see 1 of the 2 productions of @SirMattBourne had yet to see. I need to start the campaign for “The Car Man” to come back to complete the set!! Traditional Xmas present to each other for me & my sister are tickets. I loved it! 🥰
I’ve taken a couple of days of annual leave and what do I do….usual 7am PT session and then a run, all before 9am!! Anyone would think it’s a (double) marathon year or something….
