Kinda sickening that they are still releasing documentaries to try and paint Michael Jackson as a villain. The man was charged with absolutely nothing.

The #MichaelMovie is such a huge global phenomenon that legacy media is scrambling to try and redirect the narrative once again. The people have spoken, Michael is universally loved and things like this are disgraceful.

One of the producers, @jamesgoldston, previously produced the 2003 documentary Living With Michael Jackson. Yes, that documentary. With now-disgraced Martin Bashir. The one that led to the 2005 trial, and eventually Jackson’s death.

Does that mean this new docuseries is compromised? Not exactly.

But it doesn’t mean it isn’t, either.

Also: I’m having a hard time believing @netflix takes any route other than what they’re promising: “a strict historical account” where viewers decide. We’ve seen what years of all-white productions about Michael Jackson result in. The slant, sensationalism, and fatigue is real.

So the question is: do they finally take a different route?
