First thing first Apostolic Faith is not an African born church its founded by an American name Florence Crawford I want you to get that first. Let's move to medicine aspect, truly there's divine healing without taking any medication which have experienced myself.

Everyone is talking about Aunty Esther and the Jehovah’s Witness church, but wait until you hear about The Apostolic Faith Church.

They don’t take medicine at all.

Growing up, I watched my friend Amarachi die because her parents refused to take her to the hospital, as their church forbade hospital visits and medication.

I truly hope they have revised those obnoxious and overly conservative beliefs by now.

Any religion whose doctrines would subject me to such restrictive practices should count me out.

@iruobless Shutting you up isn't cool some of the older people still feel like the younger generation don't have faith and they don't want to be stressing much on the medication issue. But I can tell you that people give testimony on successful surgeries at Anthony during testimony services

@iruobless Currently in the church, they have the 5th serving District supretendent (which is before like an Africa overseer) the issue of medication was effective during the first Africa overseers tenure in the 80s since then no records of step down found, for going to the hospital.

@iruobless But many of the older generations in the church still believe in divine healing without going to the hospital. It stopped decades back. I mean long time ago Gracias.

So it's not a sin if you take medication as a member of Apostolic Faith, and that also doesn't say you will loose heaven or the church will penalise you for doing so. We just believe more in divine healing not that church will tell you not to use medications

It's her parents that refuses to take her to the hospital, not the church. The truth is that if you use medication and healed it's still the power of God because many took that same medication and still lost their lives.
