You call this an apology? Your apology doesn’t take ownership. Do you understand your statement:

“I’m sorry if I make you feel offended” shifts the responsibility onto well meaning folks instead of acknowledging what you said did. It implies:
• Your reaction is the problem, not my behaviour.
• I’m only apologising because you took it badly.
• I’m not actually taking accountability.

A genuine apology sounds like:
• “I’m sorry for what I said. It was hurtful and I shouldn’t have said it.”
• “I understand why it upset you, and I take responsibility.”

Learn to be sensitive and sincere.

I do appreciate that sensible folks are seeing the sense of frustration and discomfort when people violate the traditions, social contracts, or basic respect that holds a community together. Disrespecting a host culture usually stems from different things like clout-chasing, ignorance, entitlement, cultural & insensitivity. Watching people (Nigerians) behave poorly on video is incredibly frustrating because it rubs off on us too.

The container or tank is made from plastic, it is coloured black, black materials or black surfaces absorb more heat than its surroundings and the tank is placed on another surface that absorbs heat. Like you said it was empty, that would aid a build up of heated air in the container over a long period of time as it is receiving heat directly from the sun and indirectly from the surface it placed an it has the lid on I believe. As the heat intensified it resulted to the material melting. If there were trees very close to the tank and around, would act as canopies to reduce direct sunlight heating of the tank.

Good heavens… what is the meaning of this? Religion could make one stupid. Young lady you did not think of the temperature difference from the time you had it stuffed up in your bag in Saudi Arabia, then moved into the luggage compartment in the aircraft, at the level of flight or altitude till you landed in Nigeria and you got home. Folks in your range (male/female) (whatever religion) should be placed on an island somewhere far called the LAND OF IGNORANCE or MUMU ISLAND.
