A gentle reminder to UK 🏴 media
Black & brown people don’t have to be nursing you or working as carers wiping the backsides of your elderly parents to be worthy of your condescension & entitled to human rights . Human Rights are universal, that’s the point .
a Palestinian was bulldozed over, inch by inch, with his guts spilling out, wrists still with zip-ties on, and we have to listen to grown adults hyperventilating about their “safety” cos there are some lights for Ramadan in Oxford Street, as there are with all religions holidays.
Harrowing words from a senior emergency medicine doctor showing the despair at not being able to provide the level of care every doctor hopes to for their patients. Every doctor, nurse & HCW can empathise with this right now.

@ronansetron Jumped out of bed as clearly delirious from still not being fully awake and started getting dressed. Wasn’t until after I had got dressed I realised hang on ?!?! Rang them back and and barely had a full two hours of sleep before my next night shift started 🙃🙃🙃
@ronansetron Still remember as an f2 coming home after an acute medical night shift (2/4) at 9ish. Finally fell asleep at around 10:30am only to be woken up by a phone call from medical staffing as they had misread the drs name on the rota asking me why I hadn’t turned up to the day shift
All the FOUR daughters of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wassalam had to return back to their father's house at some point in their marriages, He welcomed them back with open arms, listened to their plights and resolved it.
Today, my father - حفظه الله - gave the hand of his youngest daughter away for marriage - the last of 11
One thing that stood out he said in front of everyone:
I give you her hand, and I’m pleased to marry her to you and ask Allah to bless you both, however..
‘Tis the season to uphold boundaries with family members, turn down invites that don’t excite you, and stand your ground when old versions of yourself try to re-emerge.
