Happy Birthday to Sir David Attenborough for hitting the 100 milestone today! 🎈
With a career that has spanned decades we all have been taught about the natural life and wonders of the world from the calming voice that will be remembered forever.
A legacy for the ages 🌿
@PhoenixOnFire44 Ah hello, good to see you're back ☺️
I haven't stopped posting but I haven't had time to jump on, also I'm not really sure what to post lately either 🤔
I'll throw up some more riddles in the future but I could do with something more 🌿
Seeing posts like this genuinely make me think I should do English lessons.
Would people who want to learn British English be interested? 🤔
👇I know the account below isn't English but that doesn't stop people from believing the post is legitimate.
I'd aim to be reliable 🌿
@GLabsPlus@HazelAppleyard The answer is C
It's 2/6 = 1/3
A: Both shapes are a different size
B: Same as A
C: Both shapes are the same size, remove the lines to split the shape into thirds and you get the same result.
Though the question is badly worded. 🌿
@notnoramami I did read that right, two shots of Bacardi in a rum and coke, just casually going full speed 😂
Was it nice? 🤔
I drink rum every so often but I am fussy about my pairings 🌿 👇

A beauty for the #AdiensosWorld archives.
A fine pairing with the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Connecticut Robusto with a Diplomatico Mantuano, to be savoured by a crackling fire under the night sky 🔥
It's the little things in life 😉
How do you relax on those rare days? 🌱
Makes sense:
The Bank of England has maintained high interest rates to fight inflation and that attracts foreign investors wanting better returns.
Naturally that increases the value of the pound because of demand.
Also the pound is a major global reserve currency.
During times of global economic or geopolitical uncertainty, investors often move money into safe currencies like the GBP.
This obviously supports its value but it also isn't the strongest safe haven currency.
And of course India is a major importer of crude oil.
When global oil prices rise, India has to spend more foreign currency, which puts downward pressure on the rupee.
Essentially war in certain areas of the world actually benefits the UK but also it does cause negative impacts too.
In this case it's yielding some benefits.
There is a lot more variables to take into consideration but overall these are just some of the main factors as to why the UK GDP has increased to $4.26-$4.27 Trillion compared to India at $4.15 Trillion. 🌿 🇮🇳 🇬🇧 🌿
@notnoramami It's just show and tell really.
VTI returns about 6-7% after inflation.
Plus $27.40 is still around $822 a month so you'll need that just laying around monthly.
Plus the stock market fluctuates on a major level so it's all just chance.
I don't like them too 🌿
@buzsokk This makes no sense at all 😂
Considering it started with this AI generated video I instantly began to question the validity of the whole thing.
Shame 🌿
@ItsumoNihongo My reply wasn't directed at you it was more of a statement to anyone who's learning and happens to glance the picture.
Your point to use the left hand side is valid especially for those who aren't English and are currently learning it.
Apologies for any confusion 🌿
@englishlesson_ Don't do this.
I'm not going to go through all the examples but:
Very short - brief
❎ 'That person is very brief'
✅ 'That person is very short'
Context and nuance is important when learning English rules, don't take things like this at face value.
English is complex 🌿
@DaveGibbons423@SuperSisi Right, you just put in the game and it it starts up, you click play, done.
I can make a whole breakfast before I play some of the games these days.
Basically paid for a loading simulator 😆😂
"Freedom of speech" is an interesting one, it's just 3 words that means so much to defend when the crazy thing is: we shouldn't have to defend it.
It should just be a natural thing.
You're allowed to criticise, speak freely and 100% be allowed to change your mind.
Yet people always point out what someone said years ago and say they're lying because they said this or that.
Or someone insists another person is wrong for how they see things and demands they change or they’re a 'such and such'.
It's all just cancel culture if you think about it.
Aren't people exhausted by all of that?
It's madness, why the hypocrisy or do people just not see it? 🌿
