The Karnataka Government’s latest order is a strong and inclusive stand against discrimination, reaffirming that no student should be denied education because of identity, belief, faith, or tradition.
Educational institutions must remain spaces of learning and equality, where a student wearing a Hijab, Turban, Janivara, Shivadhara, Rudraksha, or any permitted symbol of faith and tradition is treated with equal dignity and respect.
This decision reflects the true spirit of our Constitution and Karnataka’s culture of harmony and coexistence. I thank Hon’ble CM Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble DCM Shri D.K. Shivakumar, and Education Minister Shri Madhu Bangarappa for taking this progressive and humane decision in the interest of students and social harmony.
Yesterday, I have raised a serious concern in Parliament over the extremely shockingly low utilization of the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) credit schemes in Karnataka, despite having one of India’s largest minority populations — nearly 96 lakh people.
In the last 30 years, Karnataka has received only ₹3.73 crore in micro-credit and ₹134 crore in term loans, benefiting just 30,000 people, while states like Kerala and West Bengal have reached lakhs.
I urge the Government to increase funding, strengthen outreach, and ensure that schemes actually reach the communities they are meant to uplift. Karnataka’s minorities deserve fair access and real opportunities for economic empowerment.

A Leader with a Mother’s Heart ❤️🇮🇳
In a deeply humane gesture, Shri @RahulGandhi has pledged to adopt and sponsor the education of 22 orphaned children from Poonch, who lost their parents in Pakistani shelling.
This is not just politics—it’s pure compassion.
His visit to Poonch wasn’t for headlines, but to listen, to console, and to stand by those in pain. He promised support, dignity, and a future for children who lost everything.
This is the true face of leadership. A leader who leads with empathy. A heart that embraces the sorrow of the nation.
🙏🏽 Proud to stand with a leader who walks the talk.

In 21st century India, children still risk their lives crossing rivers just to attend school.
This isn’t progress — it’s a national shame.
This is the price we pay when we choose leaders without vision.

Hubli Police apprehended and shot the accused within 8 hours — a strong message that crimes like rape and murder will not be tolerated. This action sets an example for the entire nation. Salute to the police for standing with justice!

Accusing madrasas - institutions that offer religious and moral education to underprivileged children of anti-national activities is not just irresponsible, it’s a deliberate attempt to spread hatred and divide the nation.
Took a strong objection to Yatnal’s reckless remarks which threaten our social fabric. If the BJP lacks the will to rein him in, the people Karnataka will give them a fitting answer.
