@TattyFiesta@jan_murray If you'd seen these photos in literally any other context, would you have thought the person in them was male? She looks more female than I do 🤣
@IndiaWilloughby could you perhaps make your extremely valid point about trans inclusion *without* fuelling Jew-hate?
You may well be saying Govt should stand against all forms of hate, but I promise you that isn't how this will be read.
This is actually a massive distraction.
BREAKING: From today Black and Gay people will have to use different toilets to keep the public safe.
There has been no outrage on national media.
Prime Minister @andyburnham - who has a 230 seat majority - says there is nothing he can do to help the Black and Gay communities, because that’s the law. And Labour doesn’t have anything to do with that.
He’s advised them to “move on.”
⭐️The UK trans community is 260,000 people. The exact same size as the UK Jewish population. Compare and contrast how @UKLabour respond and protect each of them.
@FietserGlasgow I'm a bit confused. @livingstreets This appears to be a Govt amendment proposed by Baroness-in-waiting at Lords Report. What is the thinking behind asking MPs to "vote in support of" a Lords amendment which Govt already proposing in the Lords?
@Janet4369587977@adamfare1996@Rebecca_SPaul I doubt Lord Sumption thinks the UK had gender self-ID for a GRC. (It does in fact have this for passports and driving licenses). And "no right" is an oversimplification. The provision of the GRA is disapplied for EA2010 to make sense, not cancelled. Can marry as tho opposite sex
@Janet4369587977@adamfare1996@Rebecca_SPaul That is certainly true. And convention is not to comment outside of the judgement itself. But government do publish "general guidance" in the form of the Code of Practice, which is statutory guidance. Those drafting that guidance will reasonably expect the judgement to be clear
@FinalTelegraph@nyaraVT There's a middle ground between abolishing female privacy and forcing girls to accept a definition they disagree with.
"Your confusion is not a mandate for their submission." Why, then, is yours?
Girlguiding and WI being forced against their will isn't a win for women's freedom
@TommyCockles8@SexMattersOrg@MForstater@PeterTatchell You've answered none of mine and called my answers so far (which, incidentally, answer your question really quite clearly) "meaningless babble." So, no thanks.
@TommyCockles8@SexMattersOrg@MForstater@PeterTatchell That wasn't what I said I wanted to give further thought to. What a shame that you just want to be rude rather than considering how to actually engage realistically and pragmatically with society as it is. You seem to want to logic and gotcha trans people into, what, disappearing
@TommyCockles8@SexMattersOrg@MForstater@PeterTatchell Not even trying to understand it isn't scientific either. The therapies you suggest, when you read about them as described by their practitioners are also completely unscientific, and involve regressive stereotypes as much or more than affirmation. Can science answer any of this?
@TommyCockles8@SexMattersOrg@MForstater@PeterTatchell Yet a large population self-report it's helped them to greater/lesser degrees.
My close friend raised in strictly Orthodox family: sex affirmed, single sex peer group, education, no internet/TV, never even heard of trans (not soc contagion). Felt from young age? Hormones ease it
