Pakistan remains the only nation that built nuclear weapons while cultivating terrorist proxies for sustained cross-border warfare. Yet the U.S., even as it continues to mollycoddle Pakistan, now expects Islamabad to convince Iran that following the Pakistani path is a dead end.
In effect, the U.S. is asking Pakistan to warn Iran against becoming what Pakistan was allowed to be.
Even the expected 2-0 against WI underlines India’ festering red ball spin problem. Jadeja & Washington are no striker bowlers. Batters struggle with halfway decent spin at home. Can no longer presume easy home wins against stronger visitors. The NZ lesson remains unlearnt.

Dear Indians, be alert.
Many companies will now try to hike prices to offset the GST benefits instead of passing them on to you. Watch them closely and report to the Government.
We must stay vigilant against such companies that constantly look for ways to loot customers.
In a sharply partisan debate in Parliament, India’s foreign minister stated that just three of the world’s 193 countries supported Pakistan during India’s May 7–10 Operation Sindoor. But how many nations backed India’s military action or acknowledged the root cause of the conflict — Pakistan's persistent cross-border terrorism? The answer would highlight a sobering reality: India is effectively waging a solitary battle against transborder terrorism.
What India’s CDS termed a “tactical mistake” that led to the initial loss of some warplanes was the political leadership’s directive to the Air Force to strike terrorist camps in Pakistan without first carrying out SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) and DEAD (Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses) operations. Unlike the 2019 Balakot strike, which achieved surprise, the enemy was ready this time — India had effectively signaled its intent for roughly 15 days before launching Operation Sindoor (May 7–10).
The irony is that when, on the operation’s final morning, the Air Force finally received clearance and devastated the enemy’s air defenses and air bases, no further Indian strikes followed. A ceasefire took effect within hours.
Strategically, that made little sense: you don’t neutralize the enemy’s air defenses as a mere demonstration of your capability. You do it to open the way for achieving strategic objectives.
Why India abruptly halted its military campaign just when it had gained the upper hand remains an unanswered question.

India demonstrated both the strength of its layered air defenses—many indigenously built, alongside Israeli and Russian systems—and its ability to penetrate Pakistan’s Chinese-made defenses like the HQ-9/P, LY-80, and FM-90.
It it time to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty indefinitely as a truly meaningful response to the latest terrorist outrage in Pahalgam instigated by Pakistan.
We have earlier said that blood and water can’t go together. Let’s act on our own declared position .
This will be a strategic response.
We are in a favourable position on this with the US as the terrorist attack has occurred during Vance’s visit. Trump and Vance have strong views on Islamic extremism and terrorism.
This step will send a salutary message to Bangladesh too.
While connectivity is still a challenge where we are, the sketchy details we are able to receive on social media speak of outrageous atrocities, targeting specifically male tourists who were not Muslim. I call on all my fellow citizens, irrespective of faith, to stand up against this foul attempt by Islamist terrorists to divide us in the name of religious identity. The murderers’ evil designs must not be allowed to succeed.

Time for new currency notes for India: I love good designs; they always captivate me, whether they're in public spaces or private domains. When demonetization happened, I saw it as an opportunity for our country to introduce new, well-designed currency notes. However, when the Rs. 2000 note was unveiled, I couldn't help but feel disappointed by its design and dimensions. So, I decided to put on my design cap.
In the weeks that followed, after my regular work hours, I embarked on a personal project: designing new currency notes for India. My goal was to present these designs to the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Reserve Bank of India. As a tech entrepreneur and design student at my core, I am deeply passionate about usability and clarity in everyday life.
Working with Mouthshut's in-house UI team, I poured this passion into crafting the currency design you see before you. I began by identifying the essential elements to represent on the new notes, with a keen focus on usability. After numerous brainstorming sessions, I concluded that the new design should feature clear fonts denoting the denomination, easily visible from a distance of at least 10 feet. Additionally, I felt strongly about incorporating the map of India into the design, as a way to ingrain our nation's geography into the minds of every Indian. After all, how many times does one come across the country's map in their lifetime? By featuring it on our currency, I hoped to achieve just that.
Next, I tackled the size. As someone who values seamless integration of design into daily life, I sampled the wallets and purses of 100 random individuals to ensure that the currency notes fit comfortably without creasing or sticking out.
In terms of themes, I decided to highlight our heritage by featuring prominent monuments. I selected iconic landmarks that would not only celebrate our cultural richness but also serve as a branding opportunity for tourists, both domestic and international.
Finally, I settled on colors and background themes that were self-explanatory. Each note boasts watermark and many security features, gradient and ample white space, ensuring visual appeal and user-friendliness. Note and font colors were carefully selected for visibility, even in rural India's low-light conditions.
Regarding the figures depicted on the notes, namely Gandhi and Sardar Patel, I opted to leave that decision to the government and the RBI. I simply showcased some alternatives for consideration.
I hope you enjoy my concept for the next generation of Indian currency notes, driven by my love for good usability and design in everyday life. It's important to note that this project was undertaken in Nov-Dec. 2016 @PMOIndia@narendramodi@RBI
