Here's the current status of the much anticipated Pune-Shirur-Ch. Sambhajinagar road project:

Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) has revealed the complete plan to create an expressway from Pune to Ch. Sambhajinagar. It would be developed in three phases as mentioned below:

▪️Phase 1: Pune-Shirur Elevated Corridor:

👉 Welspun Enterprises won the contract and has now sub-contracted this project to HG Infra with a deadline of 36 months. HG Infra has already begun setting up labour camps for the elevated corridor project.

▪️ Phase 2: Shirur-Ch. Sambhajinagar Greenfield Expressway:

👉 Will be taken up after the Pune-Shirur Elevated Corridor Project reaches advanced stage.

▪️Phase 3: Pune-Shirur Greenfield Expressway:

👉 Will be taken up eventually after Phase 1 and Phase 2 are completed.

Once all the three phases of this project are completed, Pune to Ch. Sambhajinagar travel time will come down drastically to just 2.5 hours! Currently, it takes more than 5 hours for this journey.
