I sold my Mahindra Thar and Tata Harrier to Cars24 in February. It's been 5 months, and my issues are still not resolved.

For my Mahindra Thar, Cars24 deducted ₹500 from my payment for a traffic challan but never paid it. Because of their negligence, I had to visit the authority twice for party peshi and eventually pay the challan myself. Even after the RTO signatures are complete, they are still holding ₹10,000 for the party peshi.

For my Tata Harrier, Cars24 deducted around ₹30,000–35,000 for pending challans. Once again, they failed to pay them. It was only after repeated complaints that the challans were finally cleared.

After my previous post, the Cars24 team contacted me and asked me to delete it, promising that everything would be resolved. I trusted them and removed the post. Today, when I asked for an update, I was simply told to send another email.

This is completely unacceptable. If you can't manage the paperwork and payments properly, why are you taking customers' cars?

Please repost this so more people know what I have gone through. Think twice before selling your car to Cars24. My experience has been nothing but delays, broken promises, and poor customer service.

Bought a Hyundai Venue 1.2 NA in Sept 2023.

Average mileage with AC: ~20 kmpl.
Best I ever managed: 26 kmpl.

Then came the glorious E20 revolution. 🇮🇳🙏

My car was E20-compatible, so naturally E20 could NEVER be the problem. By May 2026, the mileage had gracefully evolved to 10-11 kmpl.

Took it to Hyundai.

“Sir, the car is perfectly fine.” ✅
“Could be adulterated fuel.” ✅
“Many cars are facing mileage issues.” ✅

Fantastic.

The car is fine.
E20 is fantastic.
The government is correct.
The service centre is correct.

Apparently the only defective component is the owner who knows how much petrol he fills and how many kilometres he drives. 🤡

And according to Nitin Gadkari ji, you apparently can't even properly check your car's mileage yourself - you should get it checked at a service centre.

Of course! 😂

What kind of primitive mathematics is this "full tank → drive → full tank → kilometres ÷ litres" nonsense?

Please don't try such advanced calculations at home. Only trained professionals at authorised service centres possess access to the classified technology known as… division. 🙏

Eventually, I sold the Venue after ~2.5 years despite having extended warranty, SOT, Super SOT, etc. - and bought a Tata Nexon EV 45.

Maybe there was an undetected engine issue. Maybe an ECU/software update changed something. I don't know.

But don't you dare suspect E20.

Your mileage dropped? You calculated it wrong.

Your range dropped? Wrong again.

Your fuel expenses increased? Skill issue.

Just remember:

DON'T TRUST YOUR ODOMETER.
DON'T TRUST THE FUEL PUMP.
DON'T TRUST YOUR WALLET.
AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, DON'T DIVIDE KILOMETRES BY LITRES AT HOME.

In case of rains like in Konkan region every year, what if there is seepage in the undergrowth fuel tank at pump, vehicle owner is not aware of contamination and is buying fuel in faith that they are being provided assured quality. Who is answerable? @nitin_gadkari (2/n) #E20

If E20 fuel is compatible and the issue is with fuel quality we need to be able to check the fuel contamination before purchasing at pumps. The onus of providing correct, un-contaminated fuel is on the petrol pump. (1/n)

There is a press conference happening today on E20 b mly the expert group on behalf of the petroleum ministry.

I'm sure they won't be taking any questions. They will speak the same mumbo-jumbo : it's safe, energy security, lower crude import, more income to farmers, oil lobby, foreign hand blah blah and leave.

Even if they take question, no journalist will be smart enough to ask the real questions:

1. Why rolled out E20 when most of the vechiles weren't compliant.

2. Who will be responsible for wear and tear of non compliant cars. You'll say there are no reports world over for damage but that's because nowhere in the world have they introduced E20 without making sure that older vehicles have phased out and even then they kept the option of pure petrol for those few left with older cars. Ethanol corrodes non compliant cars. It's a known scientific fact. Why else would there is complaint cars if non compliant cars were as safe?

3. It was told ethanol blended fuel will be cheaper but it's costly than even erstwhile pure petrol because of mileage drop. People are buying more fuel for same useage.

@HardeepSPuri sir you know a race car costs millions to run and only runs for a short span of time before its parts and engine being dismantled and repaired. You might be right about the ethanol being added there but older car engines are not capable of running on ethanol blend.

Imagine someone is following your sister late at night, and she is trying to call you for help.

Imagine you are injured on the road and desperately trying to call a family member.

But before the call even connects, telecom companies play long warnings like “your plan is expiring soon, please recharge” in two languages. During this warning, the actual call does not connect, and valuable time gets wasted.

In emergency situations, even a few seconds matter. These repeated recharge reminders are extremely frustrating.

We already know when to recharge. Customers should not be forced to listen to long, nonsensical warnings.

Please order all telecom companies to immediately stop these nonsense warnings before calls, or allow the call to connect while the warning plays in the background.

Be serious.
