The reason I couldn’t enjoy #Chhaava that much was because of the terrible background score and music by Mr AR Rahman . In my review, I couldn’t openly say this at that time, but I did give a hint.

Throughout the film, listening to A.R. Rahman’s music and background score felt like Arabic & Middle Eastern sounds were used throughout the film . There was neither any influence of Marathi folk music nor the traditional sound that should be present in films made on Marathi warriors.

More problematic than A.R. Rahman’s statement of calling Chhaava “Divisive” is another statement he made in the same interview where he clearly says that the people are not fools to believe in false informations .

In the future, filmmakers should cast musicians and technicians who believe in the story and respect the faith and beliefs of the audience, especially when it comes to films based on our heroes, religion, and country.
