Involving our teachers in agricultural transformation & money economy adds value to them.

Yesterday, I was honored to represent @MAAIF at the World Veterinary Day celebrations held in Bukedea dist.
Our veterinarians are truly the guardians of food security & public health, their expertise is the backbone of our success.

Today, I had the honor of signing a Bilateral Agreement Btn Uganda -Rwanda on Agriculture, Animal Industry & Fisheries.
This marks a significant step towards strengthening regional food security, trade in agricultural products & fostering knowledge exchange btn the two nations.

Earlier today, I joined @jessica_alupo to handover 109 vehicles & 1,034 motorcycles to @MAAIF_Uganda extension workers under the Climate Smart Agriculture Project.
​The tools are to be used for mobilizing & sensitizing communities to drive productivity & resilience in Uganda.

The Vice President of Uganda, @jessica_alupo, along side @FrankTumwebazek and @HellenAdoa have today officially handed over 69 vehicles and 1,034 motorcycles to district local governments under the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project. The handover ceremony, organized by @Maaifclf, marks a significant step towards strengthening agricultural extension services and enhancing monitoring capacity across the 69 project-supported districts.

In her remarks, the Vice President emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming the agricultural sector through improved service delivery and increased accessibility to farmers. She noted that the provision of transport equipment will facilitate extension workers in reaching farmers more efficiently, offering timely advisory services, and ensuring effective supervision of project activities. The intervention is expected to bridge critical mobility gaps that have long hindered field operations, especially in remote and underserved areas.

I presided over the distribution of 50,000 coffee seedlings to farmers in Serere district today.
The initiative which saw over 300 farmers benefiting from it marks the launch of a pilot program aimed at introducing and expanding coffee farming in Teso sub-region.
