I'm going on a Silent Retreat today while my teens will be binging on Stranger Things & Youtube at home, so spiritual development for all of us.

BREAKING: President Biden, moments ago, just praised the amazing nurses in America. He said something I couldn't fathom Trump ever saying. #BidenIsBeatingBigPharma

Biden said,
"I’ve been a significant consumer of healthcare. Doctors let you live. Nurses, male or female, make you want to live. I’m serious. The single most underrated profession in America are nurses. I mean it!

Thank you Joe Biden for giving America's nurses the credit that they deserve, especially after COVID!

I said goodbye to a patient a few years ago. She didn’t die, she just got old. I treat patients to age 21 and they move on. When they do, I joke, “well, I did my job! I kept you alive until adulthood!”

With this kid, it was not a joke. 1/

Our right to choose is on the ballot not just in Alaska, but nationwide. We have to vote like our rights depend on it because they do.

The other day I attended a birth with a first year resident. No one counted to 10 or yelled “PUSH!” We sat with our hands in our laps and waited for the baby to emerge. She didn’t tear. I wonder what birth would be like if more doctors got low-risk birth training from midwives.

@BetoORourke I took my 2 new voter daughters to the polls today…to stand up for women, students, teachers and everyone who cares for them. Thanks for being a candidate who does care, by showing up and speaking up for all Texans. #Election2022 #VoteBlueForDemocracy #VoteEarlyDay

I will never understand the animosity over COVID booster shots and vaccines in general. Vaccines may have alleviated more human suffering than any other invention. So to all those denigrating science and medicine please get a life. And I mean that literally.
