@stellaomalley3 Any fool who can grip a crayon can call himself a journalist. It is a non-profession. Fair few of them seem to be involved in some combination of activism and entertainment.
@MrMennoTweets@HelenWebberley The issue is whether womanhood is falsifiable. If it is not falsifiable (just a self-assessed subjective feeling, no more), then it becomes a meaningless concept. Certainly not one necessitating life changing medical intervention.
@Jonee13@MerrynSW@Simon_Nixon If people want protections, not unreasonable to require them to follow some formality to obtain them. If they choose not to follow that formality, why should they be entitled to same protections as those who do?
@SamanthaNiblet4@amnesty Can a person's claims of womanhood be falsified? If so, what criteria? If not, sounds like just a personal opinion, not something that justifies life changing medical intervention.
@MichelleDewbs Do such women undress/shower etc. in front of males they know and trust - dad, brother etc.? My daughters trust me fully but we instinctively know (nothing needs to be said) that we observe privacy when we undress/shower. Safety isn't only issue - it is dignity too.
@jorge_rupes@ChantAngle64@QcWynter No you haven't answered. You haven't answered clearly whether womanhood is or is not objectively falsifiable. Simple question. A or B. No middle ground. And if falsifiable, is the question 'have you fathered a child' one of the criteria?
@jorge_rupes@ChantAngle64@QcWynter My wife is a doctor. She says if you have fathered a child, that is just one criterion in itself that falsifies a claim of womanhood. You might take the view womanhood is never falsifiable. If so then womanhood then just becomes a meaningless opinion.
@jorge_rupes@ChantAngle64@QcWynter So do you accept any false claims a person makes about themselves? Or just this one? And your dismissal of people who want safe, dignified places for females as evil hags, nasty etc. suggests you're not the font of kindness you think you are.
@jorge_rupes@ChantAngle64@QcWynter Do you think a person's claims they are a woman is falsifiable or just their own opinion? A or B. You know it is falsiable and you know the criteria - you just want to dodge the issue.
@JournalismSEEN@Jonathan_Hinder She looked as if someone had died as a result of that exchange. Is this her hobby horse? It seems Labour more interested in creating division, winding ppl up than dealing with issues of ordinary people, for whom they seem to have contempt.
@jorge_rupes@ChantAngle64@QcWynter You want me to show respect for someone who makes false claims about himself while casting irrelevant and infantile aspersions about a stranger about the number of followers he has? Why donโt you address the point?
