A very special moment in automotive history. In 2004, Gran Turismo 4 was released to the world, and just look at the cars that showed up to the launch party. It almost looks like Monterey Car Week, except this was all for a video game.
To most people, it was just another racing game. For me, it was genuinely life changing. Gran Turismo 4 introduced me to so many of the cars I’m still posting about 22 years later. Looking back at the lengths Kazunori Yamauchi and his team went to get every detail right, from the engine sounds to the way each car looked, handled, and felt, you start to understand why the game was so special. More than two decades later, it still is.
