I received my dear brother, the Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, and his entourage today in my country-home, Sampou, on a New Year brotherly visit.

It was a fruitful meeting where we both agreed to collaborate on the development of Bayelsa and Rivers States.

I reminded my colleague of the need to bring back the BRACED Commission to foster our regional integration in the South-South region.

On the political issues in Rivers State, I encouraged my brother Governor to pursue peace and remain focus on his vision for the people of the State.

I appreciate Governor Fubara for the New Year and brotherly visit to Bayelsa State. That is the spirit for the season; a season to share love and great wishes.
