@M_u_y_e@Nsukka_okpa Are you this daft!?
So 2018(last he won with Madrid) -2022( first they won since he left) four(4yr gap),..., is that your definition of "IMMEDIATELY HE LEFT THEY WON"?
You're nothing but a Dumbo dude
No matter how much Messi fans try to delete it, Messi's 2-year stint at PSG was an historic disaster.
6 league goals in 26 games. Missed penalty against Madrid. Back-to-back Round of 16 Champions League disasters.
Played with Mbappe and Neymar and still couldn’t go pass round of 16.
He took the money, ghosted when it mattered, and dipped. Leaving PSG to rot and destroyed what they’ve been building for years.
Then Immediately he leaves, Ousmane Dembele leads the team to win back to back UCL.
Fraud.
@BabsonJos@Buchi_Laba And where's the lie!? Except you didn't get to see the ARG Vs CABO VERDE match on will you have a contrasting remark from what the man said
If this Paraguay team was playing against Messi Argentina.. they would have received atleast 3 red cards. Every foul on Messi would have been given as a foul.
This is no joke. Cape Verde came out to play football, and everyone who so much as sneezed around Messi was given a foul. Then imagine playing against a Defensively Minded Evil side.
FIFA would have rolled the carpet again for Messi.
@Kingsley07040@Grandsoncr7 You lots can't analyse nor respond maturely but ONLY resort to abuse and negative words.
Calling some dense says alot about your upbringing. You obviously are not raised well.
@s_sultzer@FurtherAwayPL@omgsidewalks You obviously lack critical thinking and logical reasoning
Crystal clear you're one of the pains and pangs affecting this planet and Humans in general.
The favoritism at this World Cup is getting ridiculous and I love the fact that everyone is calling FIFA out ❤️
England and Portugal both had to fight past 2018 finalists Croatia and have brutal paths against Mexico and Spain. France has to grind out tough results against legitimate opposition. Morocco had to take down the Netherlands on penalties.
Only one country has faced Algeria, Cape Verde, Jordan and Austria and this same country is still facing Egypt on Tuesday.
Infantino made sure Argentina gets a flawless, paved highway through to reach the final eight.
And to make it worse, the refs have been assisting them the whole way swallowing their whistles, refusing to make calls against them, and looking the other way on VAR.
It has been pre-determined before the tournament starts. It’s not a coincidence.
No matter what Messi wins in his career, he will never be rated ahead of Ronaldo by me. Even if he wins five World Cups, it wouldn’t change my opinion.
Looking at his career, many of his biggest achievements are surrounded by controversy. From the growth hormone treatment before turning professional, to Argentina’s Olympic triumph, the Ballon d’Or awards especially 2010, which should have gone Iniesta, 2019, 2021 and 2023 and Barcelona’s involvement in the Negreira refereeing scandal, there have always been questions surrounding his legacy.
The same applies to his Argentina’s international success. For many years, Messi struggled to win a major international trophy. Then the Copa América schedule changed from being held every four years to being held more frequently, giving him additional opportunities to win the tournament.
The 2022 World Cup was filled with controversial decisions in Argentina’s favor, and the same concerns have continued into the 2026 World Cup. Those controversies have damaged Messi’s legacy.
Messi is undoubtedly one of the greatest footballers of all time, but he will never be the GOAT in my eyes because too many of his greatest achievements are surrounded by controversy. Cristiano Ronaldo will always be the GOAT to me because his legacy wasn’t built under those same circumstances.
Argentina got away with everything Cabo Verde got punished for. I’ve never seen such blatant favouritism towards a nation in a World Cup since Argentina in Qatar.
"Tonight I suffered with Argentina..."
He immediately then catches himself and then adds: "...but I'm neutral."
This is the FIFA President.
Classic quick backtrack after nearly admitting he wanted Argentina to win.
What a shameless useless biased mofo.
