Today, March 10th, marks exactly one year since I took the biggest leap of my life. I remember how I slept at the National Mosque pray and cry and after Iftar I went back to the place I was staying and started crying again.
On March 1st, 2025, I boarded a vehicle to Abuja with nothing but a heart full of prayers and a new faith in Islam. I want to thank my friend who gave me 50,000 thousand naira to relocate to Abuja. Yes she knows that I am sick and tired 😩 of Enugu.
Leaving Enugu wasn’t easy, but I knew I needed to be in a place where my new faith could grow. At that point, I had lost everything. I had closed my makeup studio, sold my car and stop doing highway driving, short down my poultry farm to let go of the past, and invested every penny I had only to lose it all. I was tested to my limits, living with others and not knowing where to start.
But I knew Allah was with me. On this day last year, March 10th, I began to pray like never before. I had three main requests:
1️⃣ A home of my own.
2️⃣ Custody of my children.
3️⃣ The grace to restart my Pap business here in Abuja and start making new customers too because I was very good in pap business before I started the high driving.

Today, I stand here to tell you that Allah is Al-Mujeeb (The Answerer of Prayers). Within one year, He didn’t just listen; He provided, I have my home, my children are with me, and my Pap business I just started it 2 weeks ago the business that sustained me before I ever became a highway driver is thriving once again ALLAHU AKBAR 🙌.

I wouldn't be here without the amazing people Allah placed on my path.
To the woman I call Mummy My Bida Connect, You are a rare gem. When things were dark, you told me, "MARYAM, I know you are not lazy. You will make it big here, just take it step by step." Your encouragement was the fuel I needed. Thank you for being a God-fearing sister and a mother to me.
To my Facebook followers turned brothers and sisters: Thank you for the love, the care, and the constant support. You are my family.
What I lost, Allah replaced with peace. What I lacked, He provided with abundance. This one year anniversary is a reminder that when you choose Allah, He never leaves you empty-handed.
Please join me in saying Alhamdulillah! May Almighty Allah bless you all as you have blessed me with your kindness.
