VIDEO | "Today, The Honourable (Delhi High) Court has rejected the petition, which was filed by an unmarried girl, who is 20 years and is a student, seeking medical termination of her pregnancy, carrying 27 weeks. She came to know about the pregnancy on Jan 25, 2024 and she had cold feet after coming to know about it. She approached several doctors and hospitals, but all of them refused for termination of the pregnancy due to limitation under law," says advocate Amit Mishra on Delhi HC rejecting a petition seeking medical termination of 27-week pregnancy.

VIDEO | "This petition was filed by a widow who was carrying a pregnancy of around 28 weeks. After her husband's unfortunate demise on Oct 19, 2023, and after that she found pregnancy of more than 20 weeks. In December, she went for medical termination of pregnancy but all the doctors refused her on the ground that she was not falling under the criteria of law, as 24 weeks were over. Finally, she approached the Delhi HC and after two weeks, her petition was allowed by the high court. AIIMS has been directed for termination for pregnancy," says lawyer Amit Mishra after Delhi HC allowed a 23-year-old woman to terminate her 27-week pregnancy.
