I am extremely proud to announce that my game Diehexegy now has its Steam page up.
The link is in the bio and in the thread.
I would be extremely grateful if the #indie#gamedev community could share this tweet.
Now onto working on the demo!!!
For those interested in #gamedev#localization, @BScotchShenani ep454 is probably one of the best resources that I have found. They explain the concepts and challenges, how they did it the first time, and how they are doing it this time. Highly recommended.
You can now make your CI workflows even easier by using the new gdunit4-action. https://t.co/wQHpQT6Kob
Have fun with it, I would be happy about your feedback.
Listened to @BScotchShenani ep451. Lots of random chat but a really great bit of whether they found demos worthwhile. They go against the normal advice (that I've heard) but I think their reasoning makes perfect sense for their type of game. Well worth a listen.
@BusinessIndie's ep on "Using Kickstarter for Your Indie Game" with @liebe_micha covered heaps of stuff around #gamedev#publishing, not just about Kickstarter. All of it was great to listen to.
@BScotchShenani Ep439 has some awesome questions answered which always leads to great convos. The team has a brilliant conversation about their #gamedev#testing and #QA approach
Listened to @_Zackavelli_'s Ep78 on the #unity saga. I really like his takes on things because he is fairly neutral and very clear on his biases. I also forgot to tweet about Ep77 which was on horde modes and rarity systems. Always teaches me something even if it's simple!
Listened to @BusinessIndie 's episode "China Market Entry 101 for Indie Devs" with @KahaerA. A brilliant listen for those interested in the topic. I haven't heard many episodes on the subject so I am grateful for this one!
I am glad that the @bizofvideogames crew have started their next season. Ep 14 is a chat with the CEO of @HoodedHorseInc which I found very enjoyable to listen to. I am looking forward to their future episodes with ep 15 in my queue.
Listened to @BScotchShenani ep 437. Big chat on the Microsoft-Activision Blizzard merger. But for me, the two questions about the Epic Games store 100% rev share, and the local first software movement were amazing discussions!
Am still listening to podcasts! Trying to find some that focus more on the dev side of #gamedev but they are rare. Lots about coding, I just have to find the right one.
@BScotchShenani's ep 436 talks about tool development which is always great to listen to
Proud to have reached 1,000 unit tests in my backend code! UI testing is trickier but @LpzMikeschulze's upcoming release will allow me to get those done too!
I am sure not all are perfect but worked hard to prioritise testing and am much better off (way fewer bugs to deal with).
Listened to @NiceGamesClub's episode with @FreyaHolmer on Unity's policy update. It's a great listen for those of you who aren't entirely across what's happening. It also gives a good understanding on some of the impact this has had on some of the #gamedev community.
@BScotchShenani ep433 is the groups reaction to the initial #UnityEngine changes. I know there’s been an update but I enjoyed their chat. They will surely have some reactions to the update in next weeks update.
Listened to @gamedevdotcom ep35 with the @lifebyyou_pdx game studio. Even for someone like me who is more after the core development type of chats this episode was thoroughly enjoyable. Sounds like an amazing place to work.
Many @BScotchShenani episodes are about the processes their studio uses and their journey on working the best way possible (which is why they are my favourite #gamedev podcast). Ep 431 is about them coming to terms with Bethesda's potential dev process. Amusing AND informative!
Listened to a fantastic episode (#33) of the @gamedevdotcom podcast with @Flayra about #gamedev#prototyping including a great discussion about random number generation. Listen to this one!!
