हवेली पुलिस स्टेशन में दर्ज शिकायत के अनुसार, बच्ची के पिता को थप्पड़ मारा गया और धमकी दी गई, 3 हिंदुवादियों ने कथित तौर पर उन पर हमला किया और एक ने उनकी पत्नी को भी घसीटा!

A Protestant pastor was allegedly assaulted at his home in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal, by a mob of around 25 people who accused him of carrying out religious conversions.

The incident took place on August 18 in Satgachia, where the group allegedly barged into the residence of 55-year-old Pastor Joy Sutradhar and assaulted him. According to local Christian leaders, the attackers also ordered Sutradhar and his family to leave the house, warning them of consequences if they refused.

Some members of the group allegedly threatened Sutradhar’s daughter after she recorded the incident on her mobile phone, demanding that she delete the footage.

Christian leaders condemned the attack, describing it as an assault on religious freedom. Herod Mullick, founder secretary of the Bangiya Christiya Pariseba (Bengal Christian Council), said the pastor had been serving the local community for around two decades.

“This is an unprovoked, brutal assault on a pastor who has been serving his people for the past 20 years,” Mullick told UCA News.

वर्ल्ड क्लास' शिक्षा मॉडल के बड़े-बड़े दावे करने वाली सरकार के कार्यकाल में पिछले डेढ़ साल में सरकारी स्कूलों की हालत बेहद दयनीय हो चुकी है।

The reporter asked him to recite ‘Vande Mataram’ himself, even requesting just two or four lines. Surprisingly, the man admitted that he was ignorant about it & repeatedly denied to recite it. The situation became even more striking when another man standing nearby stepped forward and began reciting it.

The exchange has sparked discussion over the meaning of patriotism and whether people should be so quick to label others as anti-national. The moment also raises a thought-provoking question: before questioning someone else’s patriotism, shouldn’t we be ready to answer the same question ourselves? 👀
