According to what Elon revealed on the SpaceX Q3 call, the Louisiana Starbase will ultimately have 20 launch pads, not 10.

I redesigned the layout of the Louisiana Starbase based on this information. Land area has never been the limiting factor for the number of launch pads at the Louisiana Starbase; the real constraint is FAA approval, specifically, how many Starships they will ultimately allow to be launched from there each year, and when that approval comes.

BREAKING: SpaceX plans a massive 400-acre expansion at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center as Starship plans advance.

The proposed expansion includes:

• A Starship test stand for pressure checks and engine firing tests.

• New facilities to manufacture rocket parts and refurbish recovered hardware for reuse.

• Around 3,300 total employees projected by full buildout in 2045.

• A payload processing facility, warehouses and new roads.

The goal is to bring more rocket production, testing and launch support closer together, helping SpaceX operate faster and more efficiently.
