There is a certain feeling that comes from being stuck at an intersection because the cars with right of way have spaced themselves just so,
And you watch,
As the train that you could have been on,
Passes you by.
The wildest thing about managing ADHD as an adult is that if you build enough support structures & strategies to be functional, you also get to convince people that you have ADHD.
I did steps 1-3 and had started the outline while on the train.
It's not as interesting as the morning I watched a guy stitch a plushie together between Granville and Newtown. But it would have been interesting to watch.
I don't get many opportunities to do things that actually feel like competence but this morning was:
1. Checking for cross stitch patterns of hands before finally giving up,
2. Taking a quick photo of my hand in the pose I actually wanted,
3. Sketching that out,
4. Stitching it.
if someone asks how youre doing you can just say owwwww i'm becoming a creature and you dont have to elaborate, there's nothing else you really have to say at that point
@1izziereadsalot Distinguishing between rest and idleness (bedrot), and that both work and rest are good gifts from God. Neither are for determining personal worthiness. Work reminds me that I am not the centre of the universe. Rest reminds me that I am reliant on the creator of the universe.
