Since 2015, the U.S. economy has grown roughly double that of Canada, and the trend doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon.

Canada failed to meet its 2% GDP defense obligations to NATO for nearly 35 years and has only now just hit 2%. When the goalpost has increased to 5% (3.5% on core military spend, 1.5% on dual-use infrastructure/security investments).
