Two immigrants. Two American citizens. Let’s compare the documented timelines.

Ilhan Omar: Arrived in 1995 at age 12 after fleeing Somalia’s civil war and spending four years in a Kenyan refugee camp. Became a U.S. citizen in 2000 at age 17.

Melania Trump: Arrived August 27, 1996, at age 26 on a visitor visa. Received work authorization October 18, 1996. Obtained an EB-1 green card in March 2001 and became a citizen in 2006.

The Associated Press documented 10 paid modeling assignments Melania completed before her work authorization began. She disputed any wrongdoing.

Omar now faces allegations about family immigration paperwork. Those allegations also require evidence.

Same country. Same immigration laws. Same standards of evidence and due process.

Citizenship isn’t less legitimate because of someone’s birthplace, religion, politics or surname.

@VEER_sonwa @sidhant I’m simply advocating peace for the people. We’ve lived together for centuries; now we deserve peaceful coexistence based on mutual respect and friendship. We must reject the hate spread by both countries’ leadership for their own interests.

@VEER_sonwa @sidhant I agree that there’s no real democracy in Pakistan. It is evolving. However, neither side is interested in peaceful relationships based on trust and mutual prosperity. Suppose your allegations are true, then the Indian side has also started false-flag operations in Pakistan.

@VEER_sonwa @sidhant This hate is being spread for political gains. Both nations need prosperity and the well-being of their people. Trade between the two countries can help reduce poverty. If Pakistan is still under an IMF programme, India’s situation is no better.
