@hihu20278 Definitely not due to limitations. A lot of these fixes were things labeled "TO-DO" & things behind incorrect OG Xbox ifdef's (there's even Bluepoint comments like "//BP this looks like a bugfix that should not have been restricted to Windows version".) I'd say a deadline issue.
Another small fix for mgshdfix 3.1.1. Missing shell casings in some cutscenes (such as Snake's M4) restored.
Refactored render distance check for ejected casings was accidentally checking distance from the player (wrong for cutscenes), instead of distance from the camera.
@phenomfawaz I have no plans to work on developing a pirated build of the game utilizing illegally leaked source code & backporting years worth of mod fixes, no. That's an easy way to end up meeting Konami's copyright lawyers.
If you want legal, fixing MC to be correct is the right approach
Some shots look so different now with MGSHDFix 3.1.1 compared to broken HD / Master collection.
In addition to the restored color/contrast filters I mentioned last week, depth of field (camera focus/blur) scaling is also now fixed.

@phenomfawaz You're a bit late asking, it pretty much already is; spent the last month restoring most of the missing content / visual effects, & lots of PS2 era bugs are also fixed.
The community bug tracker is quickly running out of issues left to fix

@HEITAIs@achukikin This is already fully restored; it was part of the same contrast/color filter system mentioned in my previous post.
Will be in MGSHDFix 3.1.1.
Hopefully should have the update out by the end of the week! :D
Already cooked up another major fix for MGSHDFix 3.1.1.
All of MGS2's contrast/color filters have been restored.
This missing effect has always been one of the major reasons I preferred the PS2 versions vs HDC/MC. With it fixed, MC is definitely my forever go-to now.
@mak1suman Funny you mention that, I already finished restoring the Sons of Liberty Terminator-style thermals yesterday! That's gonna be in 3.1.1 as well! I have a few options for them too, ie: white hot, black hot, and Splinter Cell colors.
Underwater effect is still on my to-do list.
@Ezequiel13man The Skateboarding crossover demo wasn't in the leak; it was made by a different team at Konami & the only remaining reference is to the .elf executable for it that was opened via the menu (suggesting KojiPro was only given a precompiled file to boot into VS building w/ source.)
