Calvin Rafadi sent a screen shoot of the DIPC job opening and. Cat Matlala responded by saying the job had already been given to Shadrack Sibiya.

In an interview with SABCNews Rafadi vehemently denied wanting the job.

He states he complained to The national police commissioner Fannie Masemola. However WhatsApp messages pain a different picture of Rafadi said he would apply for the job if "politics changed"

WhatsApp messages shown at the Madlanga commission reveal a relationship between Cat Matlala and Director of Special Services at the EMPD Julius Mkhwanazi. Cat Matlala asked Julius Mkhwanazi to help free one of his drivers who was arrested for doing 90kph in a 60kph zone.
