I'd like to apologize to the entire crypto community. This ($80) is where I added to my position thereby angering the crypto gods who have deemed me unworthy of profit. I am the top signal.
The older I get in this space, the more I value the people who don't just hype everything I do.
Tell me what's working.
Tell me what's not.
That's how you actually get better.
Oh crap... I thought you said you value people who "type" what you do.
The older I get in this space, the more I value reading glasses.
1 goal... 1 f-ing goal.
Those who know me know that I am a big fan of Wrexham and the amazing transformation the club has taken over the last few years.
This season played over 46 matches, missed the playoffs by 1 goal.
The thing that impresses me most though is that their success is both on and off the pitch. Ryan Reynolds is a savvy business dude, and he knew intuitively what business he was getting into. It's not the soccer business. It's the entertainment business.
By being mindful that success meant more that putting together a team of good soccer players. It meant growing the fan base. It meant improving the fan experience. It meant putting together a show to reach fans around the planet. This attracted big money sponsors and advertising revenue to build an almost premier league team from scratch.
They didn't get there this season, but the trajectory is still going up.
To me, The Plague is a good concept in theory, but a lost opportunity. One more wreck on the side of crypto road.
When I came on board, the two big initiatives that I had hope for were Frog Tank and the Founder in Training. Both of these concepts were the right direction in my opinion. They were about connecting opportunity with an established team and a decentralized community.
The long term success of NFTs needed some success stories. NFT projects that were run like responsible businesses, not just money pits.
But none of the projects that I am aware of ever were successful or created a positive return on investment outside of quick flips.
The Frog Tank and Founder In Training were both shut down. The focus turned to familiar crypto tropes... meme building, launch a coin, incentive engagement, build hype...
Now I think the moment has passed. Although the regulatory environment has improved, the support platforms have become more difficult. Wallets bugging, marketplaces closing, X algorithms cracking down, discord meh, interest in crypto tanking...
There is still potential there, but it will take the team actually getting organized.
@R3birth@Adrienfam_arts@ThePlagueNFT I would certainly like an invite, but my time for this is pretty minimal. If I get vouched for, great. If not, I will live.
@shisler671@bearish_af I haven't looked that deep into it, but my bear is hibernating. So I have that going for me... which is nice. Can you explain $BURR to me? I sure would appreciate it.
I haven't bought any NFTs in a while, but I just bought this @bearish_af with some spare ETH in my Abstract wallet.
I've been intrigued by what several members of the community have been sharing about what they individually are learning and building with AI. This NFT is the price of admission to see behind the curtain.
Once upon a time, posting "I just bought a..." was everywhere and a way to gain followers and boost engagement. Those days are long gone.
This is just a hat tip and respect to @tolibear_ and others for building something worth paying to see.
@MoarkyMoark It's common to have your mortgage transferred between mortgage companies and servicing companies. 6 times in 2 years is excessive. I am up to double digits in mortgages I had, but I can only think of 1 where the original lender lasted more than 1 year.
@Wrexham_AFC The end of that game was worth my streaming price all season. Just an amazing, unbelievable finish. This is what Premier League dreams are made of.
@craigyjones17 Sunderland would be cool as they were the inspiration for the documentary and Rob and Ryan getting involved.
However, if there is a chance to beat Birmingham and have @VancityReynolds throw some Deadpool level trash talking to Tom Brady, that will make for some quality viewing.
It has come to my attention that a lot of people have never heard "Dominick the (Italian Christmas) Donkey"
Time to fix that and raise everyone's level of Christmas joy.
