Music has always been part of how I move through life. Certain songs belong to certain versions of myself. Classic LPs have always felt like the nicest way to keep those pieces close, letting a familiar song take its time in the room.
@TheVocalista That’s actually a good way to see it. If someone truly wants to be part of your life, they won’t need a perfectly timed opportunity. They’ll make one.
The problem with having too many books around is that eventually every attempt to read becomes an exercise in deciding which version of yourself you feel like being that day.
Why are there so few stars tonight? From up here, the skyline almost passes for a constellation. Cities have a strange way of rewriting the night, filling the horizon with lights until you stop noticing how much of the sky has quietly disappeared.
Yet perhaps that is the paradox of monitoring: its highest achievement is to erase every trace of its own necessity, leaving behind only the illusion that excellence had arrived effortlessly.
