This twitter account started as a fight against racist government policy such as carding and street checks and fights anti-black racism and injustice everyday.
Michaela Coel has made history as the first Black woman to win at the #Emmys for limited series writing. It is her first Emmy win, for "I May Destroy You." https://t.co/PdsiWj8lju
Why I will not be voting today? The main political parties have failed miserably to address issues of concerns to me - anti-black racism, systemic racism & social justice issues. I won't support parties that fail again to address these issues. Vote for a cause not against a party
OPINION: Despite massive BLM protests last year, the 2021 federal election parties’ agendas are in lack of strong, concrete plans to tackle anti-Black racism. In particular, the Conservatives’ platform excludes any promises to confront racism in Canada.

To all the peeps who walked, marched and protested last summer AGAINST anti-Black racism and police brutality and FOR social justice and equity for all - time to vote and let your voice be heard in Ottawa @alldaysfa@Iamdannystone@malanin_kisses@PoBCAdvocate@VACAORG
“While the Liberals have made overtures to fight systemic racism, performatively taking the knee at an anti-Black racism and anti-police brutality protests, they have not shown themselves to be effective at addressing these problems.”

Sadly for the first time in my adult life,I will be sitting out this federal election and will not be supporting any of the political parties who have failed to address issues of concern to me and my community such as systemic racism, anti-black racism, and social justice issues.
No more BS from the major political parties in Canada. Enough is enough. I am not voting for any party nor support them financially if I do not see more and specific concrete commitment on this issue for this election. 9 days to address this issue or forget my vote!
We should not vote for political parties which repeatedly do nothing for the issues that matter to us? Might sit out this election as have not seen anything on anti-black racisms, systemic discrimination, and racial equality issues addressed by the parties

Is it just me or the federal political parties have abandoned anti-black racisms agenda? We are not hearing anything in fact, the opposite- pandering to certain voters. It is very disappointing.

We are missing concrete policies and programs which address hate, anti-black racism, and systemic inequalities in this country. Please create a department (not Heritage) that is equipped, has expertise, and willing and able to address these issues before we lose many lives. #Canada
@FaceForRadio519@fatimabsyed Good brother. We all have to stamp out this bad disease from our society - hate. No place for it. Nothing good comes out it!
Here's what we need to those who are asking:
- A national summit on hate.
- Online hate legislation.
- Third-party reporting of hate so that victims don't have to go directly to police (who must investigate & report back).
- Embedded anti-racism education.

We cannot as Canadians let hate tear us apart. We are better than that and have full confidence in the goodness of the vast majority of Canadians. Let's remain the beacon hope, freedom &democracy. Let's ride hate in homes, schools, and society. Bravo London! #Canada
Bill 21 in Quebec makes it illegal for government workers to wear hijabs or turbans. The Islamophohia in our country isn’t just radical and hateful it’s systematic and structural.
